Our little budget combo's have been with 440 Source kits. I have built their 440/512 and raced it for 5 years,
With over 12:1, my combo would run in the 9.50's or better...You have an E-body, so I would step that up to their 440/543 kit...Torque is king! Keep the rpm under 6500, and it will last.
Is your 440/512 a stock block motor? If so, what was done to it to try to make it live? aluminum caps? fill?
Thanks
All of our great running engines have been stock block motors....After market ones are stronger, but come with their own set of problems.
So we run the 440Source kits with the Girdles on them, no extra fill, no alum cap. All ARP bolts, and we have not had a failure to date....Typically we are right around 700hp on pump gas.
Team Farley won it all yesterday at the Sunday Niagara! The King of the hill gamblers and the GRS gamblers! Mopars are killing it this year...
