Has any body tried the QA1 lower control arms? I crashed my car on left side wheel. I'm changing left side lower anyway. all the used ones for sale need work, cleaning plating painting. And far away. I was thinking about trying the qa1. I was wondering about the ride tech coil overs all the mounts must have to be beefed up to handle the weight. Its not stock its a 318 car saved along time ago from scrap. I need a stock left lower control arm with the sway bar mount by shock mount, if anyone local has one? I live in lowell mass 978 771 0133 Thanks

If you are going coil overs your problem isn't going to be a control arm, it's going to be the upper shock mount. Too flimsy for the suspension loads without additional work. As for QA1, never used them

They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

I had the QA1 arms on a 69 Coronet (along with everything else they carried: k member, uppers, strut rods, torsion adjusters) And was very pleased with all of it. Sold the car last year. New owner reports everything is still working great and he drives the car a lot.

Now have another set of lowers I intend to put on another 69 project car for the same reason you mentioned: used ones are typically in pretty worn out condition.

I have some 1st hand experience with the folks at QA1, going back to when they were starting to pull stuff back from overseas and start making it in Lakeville, MN. Jim Jordan was the head guy and it was a pleasure to work with him. He died of cancer some years back. I have always been impressed with the staff, their equipment, their attitude, etc.

I have the QA1 front end kit on my belvedere, so far so good. Just got the car back on the road in early June so not that many miles on it yet.
