when i install my pickup tube it gets snug when its where i needs to be but really needs aboubout a 1/4 turn or more to get tight.anyone got any tricks to tighten it up? its a RB

I had the same problem on our 440,
I used #2 Permatex on the threads and had zero problems with pressure and flow.

The next time I was in there for a freshening, the tube was really secure in the block, my 2cents.

I carefully run a tap in until it clocks right.
