Building this for a 68 Charger that will be backed up by a SST 5 speed manual and a Dana 60 4:11
After having the machine work completed, I will be running stock steel crank, stock rods, forged flat tops with reliefs at .030, zero deck, Close to 10.5:1 440source stealth heads, with Comp Cams 10 degree locks, Comp Cams Dual Valve Springs, with factory rockers Comp Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 275/287, Lift .525/.525 and double roller timing chain/gear and high volume oil pump
SO, with the above I need advise for street application oil pan and pickup tube, would like a factory style 7qt ??
Also need advice on street intake, carb, headers, and ignition
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

Stock stamped rockers and 525 lift , double spring is over the limit--I love factory stamped rockers but with that set up you are asking for issues--the Summit Hemi oil pan is $95 and is the EXACT same pan others get much more for--it is more than up to the task

Mopar made the 6 quart low profile oil pan for the 1970/1971 Hemi and six pack 440 motors for both the B and E bodies, that pan works great on the street Summit sells them (part # SUM G-3511 ) but don't use their 3/8 oil pickup I'm working on finding the proper Melling oil pick now for those pans, once I find out which one works the best, either barely touches or almost touches the bottom of the pan installed with the windage tray, I'll add the part number on here As far as rocker arms you get what you pay for, if your lucky When I first started racing B and RB Mopars we had to buy and use adjustable pushrods Now the choices for rocker adjustable arms are unlimited on type, price and quality On the used factory stamp steel rocker arms I've never seen or held any that weren't loose on the shafts, never

I'm not impressed with the design of any pump pickup, and it probably doesn't matter if it's big enough. However: look at commercial plumbing and hydraulics: you'll see some weird shapes, but never a rectangular box with sharp edges. It's just the cheapest possible shape to make on a bending brake, and then make it 2" bigger so it flows enough. If you have one that you think may be too small, easy enough to add a radius to the sides of the entrance. The bleach entry in my washing machine is a keyhole.

This engine will be used as a driver, wont be twisting it up too high of rpm I am certain. Trying to make a healthy street driver.
I am interested in the efi, what would y'all recommend along the efi line and a suitable roller rocker setup for a driver?
The Holley Sniper setup would be the best choice for a simple EFI install. You should be able to get a EFI fuel tank and pump from Tanks Inc. For street use I'd go with the Comp roller rockers since they are steel. Or hit the swap meets and see if you can find some Isky or Crane nodular iron rocker arms.

I use these on a .573 lift solid. Never had an issue. They’re steel and bronze bushed (no needle bearings) which eliminates a lot of what can go wrong. They’re made by ProComp. Good value for a mild build if you ask me.

They are good but see they require a ball/ball pushrod. Check out the rockers that Hughes do, I run them an love them.

That's it! The shop the does my work has used countless sets on BB Mopars with out fail. I've use this style of Comp rockers on my Ford W motor with no problems.
Have a great day Iowan
