Can someone tell me what the bell housing pattern is on these engines? It kind of looks like it's small block Mopar, but the dowel pins look like they're in a different position

It's Big Block Mopar. That way they use a Hemi clutch can.

Cheers for that, we will have to try out a BB Mopar bell housing and see what we need to do for a starter

Starter bolts to the block not the bellhousing. They are 99/06 specific FWIW
