I like this info; especially the combos similar in description to mine. Gives me ideas about where I stand regarding my combo (see sig line). Thanks earthmover for starting this thread.

I still got 2 451s and they both have run 5.49 at 265mph 15 years ago.
And I never drained the "breakin" oil lol before running them. I have never changed the original oil in any motor that I built or any motor from a car factory.
I have made more power than anyone on this board. WGAF

First off....there weren't many 451 low decks around (only in magazines) back then but.....I had a 383 rod 451 Low deck back in early 91's, home ported big valve 452's, Venolia zero deck flat tops, A Lunati 30307 520/547 lift 240/250 @ .050 duration with an M1/worked 830 Annular and 2" Pro-parts headers mated to Flowmaster 4-2-1's phased at 180. It had a 10" Fairbanks that stalled around 3400 and a 3.91 8 3/4 with McCreary Dirt Track tires. It was in a 73 duster and it ran high 6's in the 1/8th at about 100-101. Really quick for it's day as a street car and for what it was.
I had a Weiand Team G on it to try and it dropped off like 3/10ths, tossed that boat anchor in the drink. Thing wouldn't fall out of a tree with that manifold on it.

Plans changed and it wound up in my 67 Charger. 3800 pounds race ready Only made two runs lat year 12.1@112 or so. I put some headers on it for this season so it should get into the 11's runs on pump gas and no drama. it is a nice change Which roller cam? I'm not sure. I bought it uses with a bunch of parts
