Just picked up a nice 92 12V cummins with 135K miles on it. Does anyone have a source for the throttle rods for these motors? They have a tendency to break over time and the dealers are reporting that it is discontinued. P/N was 4429799 for the "Rod and Ends" package.
Thanks!

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

I bought heim ends from Mcmaster Carr and reused the stock rod. Remove the ball studs and use some bolts and nuts. Never have to worry about it again.

BTW, I hope you like to tinker with stuff and improvise for unavailable parts because you will probably be doing a lot of it. laugh2

Thanks for the info. Just ordered the part from Moparoverstock.com !! I'll keep it as a spare in the glove box. I had one of these break a few years ago on my 93 as I was driving down the road. Got it home with bailing wire, but would rather not do that again.
