That was in a 3800# street car with a full exhaust that was driven 100 miles to the track, right? tonguue

Now there's a mental picture laugh2

You are one of the funniest people I remember from my days on the phone, and you kept me in stitches every time you called. I looked forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

I don't do truck & trailer. If my junk can't be driven to the track, it doesn't go to the track.

I had a similar reaction.

I've chosen to not respond directly and will leave it for posterity.

so does Bullet--so does Cam Motion--Isky etc etc
BTW anyone that has never run an Isky is missing out--they have some awesome grinds and those decades of experience seem to show up when I call them more than other places except Bullet They also "get it"

Jim runs a cam cult-- one I don't mind belonging to

Say it ain't so, ISKY grinds nice cams........... work Been saying it for years....Inventors not copy cats and Isky's been around longer than most and as long as very few........... beer Heard good stuff about Racer Brown as well.......... thumbs

I have a new STX-19M big block cam sitting on the shelf. So if someone needs one and can't get ahold of Jim just shoot me a PM. I'll answer the PM and ship the cam the next day. That way you'll get a Racer Brown cam and good service!

A "new technology" lunati cam for a mopar, belongs with a pair of "new technology" victor heads for a mopar with an entirely f'ed up short side radius.. so your 500+CI "NEW TECH" mopar big block motor is stuck in the low 10's, 1/2 second ET slower than a hand ported 452 headed roller 440ci with stock crank and rods from back in the 1980's.

Brad's "Fading Color" article illustrated a couple things pretty clearly :

1. "Latest Technology" doesn't necessarily mean more power.

2. some "40 year old Grinds" may surprise you.

Don't discount the guys who don't have big glossy magazine sales ads every month, every motor is a little different, to get the most power you will have to test a few cams with your combo, or leverage someone else's real world experience.
