Does anyone here have a car with ruby red poly / medium red poly paint? I'm having a ton of issues with getting my car painted the correct color. What paint brand and code did you use? My 1965 Coronet was painted and came out a salmon color instead of maroon.

My car is Ruby Red but the paint is original and faded.

I've used the Delstar Signet Royal Red Poly, code DAR71355 K and it seems to be right on.

Does the paint on my car look lighter than it's supposed to to anyone else here? I can't remember ever seeing one in person with this color on it. It's a salmon / pinkish color and I though it was supposed to be dark maroon.

I have one in my sig. I do not know how to post pics. Mine has one re-paint which was before I bought it. I think I have the code he used in the glove box. I'll check when I get home.

According to the computers at work 71476 isn't valid for PPG Global but it says that 72365 is slightly darker. They are going to shot a test panel for me today. We'll see how this goes.

According to my 1965 Coronet TSM, the 71476 is a Ditzler number. They also list a Chrysler number AAY2R7.
