Birdmans car is a light car, purpose built for grudge and "outlaw" stuff. Outlaw as in basically no rules. Minimum weight would be a possibility but then outlaws don't like rules either, like grudge guys.

good season and I enjoy seeing all the different cars, Would like to see that Vixen Challenger get a bit faster. Not sure how long its been together. I like the smaller guys with the smaller budgets take the wins. Martin has an extra Proline motor in the coach Wow deep pockets. Dominator needs a Mopar engine

Not a real fan of Turbos but can anyone tell me why Larson can stage his truck so smoothly and every other turbo car Has to do the "herky jerky" dance. I know bump boxes are used but his technique is so much smoother.

I thought Larson had another car. Can't think what it is now.
I'd guess Birdman has a pretty good weight advantage over most of the field too to go with all the power. I have a feeling his current car won't meet next years rules. Larson's other car is a nova/chevy 2.

I know bump boxes are used but his technique is so much smoother. Larson has more experience driving fast turbo cars than anybody on the show. He worked with mike moran on the twin turbo monte carlo from about 2004 on. Mostly chassis work as it was a Larson car. It doesn't look like he is using a bump box or at least not the same box others are using.

FWIW...when I talked w/ Dominator a couple years ago he told me his goal has always been to have a Hemi in his Dart. That's what it was raced with by the previous owner. Said after he bought it as a roller and fixed it (extensive wheelstand damage), he didn't have enough left over to switch to Mopar power. He still had the BB Chevy from his old car sitting there, so in it went.

Hopefully you get what you pay for, right BobR ? I haven't used any of Mantons yet as they are not making any wedge rockers yet, I have seen a picture of some from BAE for their heads that I really liked a lot We use the BAE 2nd gen rockers and have never had any issues-at 10,000+ rpm. They are more than 6200 complete.

Very few people are willing to discuss how they work...including me.

Bump boxes look to me like they would be very hard on parts, and really hard to stage consistently.

It seems like every episode he destroys and engine.

I agree, but he may be in the same situation a lot of us are in, including myself...when something breaks, a lot of times it's much cheaper to just fix what broke versus making a big change. He'd have to fix it anyway to be worth selling, by the time he did that, I bet he's rushing to get it back out and racing so back in it goes. Probably more of a schedule thing unless he just has a ton of money set aside for a new project. He might, but he doesn't strike me as one of the SO members that has benefitted a whole lot money-wise from this deal. I could be wrong though. On a side note, Dominator is a hell of a nice guy. After I initially talked to him at the track, he came and found me later that night just to check my car out. Really nice guy to talk to...much more so than some of the other SO guys.

For some reason Dominator appears to be on the outside even with the Oklahoma guys. Look how long he struggled just getting his car to hold while staging the car. He may come across as a low budget car and is compared to many but to make every race at that "no prep" series would take some serious money. I know he is a Mopar man at heart because he sure posts up some nice Mopars on Facebook.
