Well that is what trucks were originaly for, not commuting to an office.

Well, I like the styling on the current ones better, & the high tech gizmo stuff is unnecessary to me. Plus, for what I got & the price, there's no way a 2019 could be bought for anywhere near this price.

Should have told him you wanted a truck that "still looked like a Ram", and if you wanted a 2015 Tundra sporting some sort of GM hood you'd buy one. devil

Sounds like you got a great deal... especially with the 7yr warranty. thumbs

My thoughts exactly.

I can't stand the 2019's, worst looking Dodge truck ever. Loved the 2ND Gen Rams, Third Gen Rams were okay up until 06-08 with the big ole headlights & googly eyed tailights. Then things got much better with the 4th Gen 09 & up Rams. But now, no way will I ever buy one of these.

Driving by the Featherstone Rd. Viper engineering center today & lo & behold, there's a 2019 Ram in the parking lot. Looks like a combination of a Tundra & a GM. I like my truck even more now. I mean the new Ram looks OK to me, but I like the current styling a lot better. New interiors are probably better/nicer, but my 2017 is fine with me.

I fear the 19 will probably be FIATBASTARDIZED like the Jeep Cherokee, Compass and Renegay. We're due for a new vehicle... but we are looking elsewhere. It will probably be a year and a half before we purchase, but after 20+ years of working for the brand, and basically all I've ever owned, we are outta here!

I wholeheartedly agree with all that has been said. I am hugely disappointed with the front end design of the 2019 Ram. The crosshair grille and dropped fenders were part of the Ram pedigree. As mentioned, the new front ends looks like a cross between a Chevrolet and Toyota. I call it the Toylet addition. It's lost its pedigree and now is just another mutt.

Lot of Dealers advertising New 2017 1500 Laramie's, eco diesel 30k off on their websites and autotrader here. MSRP 72K. Salesman were alright but Business Mgrs were outright crooks at Galt,Oakville,Peel and Raceway Chrysler. I ended up buying at Ontario Chrysler. The ones I test drove all seemed to have around 36 klms, Build Date on Door says Dec 2017, 5yr extended Maintenace warranty 100,000klms. Lot different than the US. Sunroof Ventilated seats,Heated seats etc. Took mine home Friday. Will try to post some ads if I can get them in a smaller size. Not concerned about the build date on the door but will join the eco diesel forum and chat with Chrysler Monday as I'm curious. I did look at some Gas longhorm Laramies but their build dates were older and if the BM wasn't a crook I wouild've bought one of them for the advertised price of 43k. Chrysler, OMVIC ( Ontario Auto Watchdog)and Car Help Canada were helpful with the deceptive sales practices.

Agreed, I'm amazed at pick up owners that have ZERO intentions of using their trucks for what they were designed for...
