I set out to build the coolest looking and highest performing engine stand I could at home. It has roller bearings, 64 to 1 hand crank w/ worm gears that hold the load in any position with out a set screw, and a solid mounting plate w/ chevy & Mopar bolt patterns.

Nice, where did you get the worm gear? Been looking for some to go on all my stands and rotisserie.

That looks like the same gearbox that came on my Summit engine stand so they must be commercially available. I loved mine so much I bought another one on sale at Jegs.

Looks nice. I have a couple of other ideas for you to think about. I used bar stock for my big block motor stand since the holes are in a line. The X design is really strong without covering up much of the block. The other design was to CNC a billet plate that fits the bellhousing and use that to support the engine. I have some of these billet plates left over if you are interested in building another engine stand. I think I only have the SB version left but I'd have to checki.

That's really taking engine building to the next level. Super done! Keep me on the list for when you start marketing them.

Me thinks I need to bring you my current car for updating the chassis to 7.50, it looks like you have way to much time on your hands now whistling
I hope you and the family are fine up

That is some cool stuff, Forest! I can honestly say it’s the coolest stand I’ve ever seen by a long shot.
