Looking at doing the shaker hood conversion on a flat cuda hood and have some questions about welding on the underhood brace. Can anyone answer where are the locations for the spot welds? I don't have a spot welder so will have to plug weld it.

Also, does the trim ring cover the "cut edge" of the hood so it isn't seen or does the cut edge and brace sandwich it to the trim ring?

Can someone post pics of the underneath or even on an original hood? Also what it looks like from the trim ring through the "hole" and to where everything bolts together?

I know you can buy the AMD hood for 900, I am looking at a nice flat hood without any rust and was trying to save a few bucks.

Thank you

Best I know is the sheetmetal is sandwiched between the brace and the trim ring.

Scott, I will PM you.

Magic, no kit yet, RestoRick's is sold out. Which do you have? Are you going to finish yours?

Thanks
