What type of rotisserie are you guys using or what plan did you use to build your own?
I’m looking at building of buying one and would like the jacks to lift the car up and a good fixture for turning it by myself.
I’d like to know what you guys recommend and wish you would of done differently or opted for on you rotisserie.

Thanks for any and all info
Kevin

I made my own out of square stock and a couple cheapo engine stands. Think I had all of $100 in it.

I recently noticed a post on www.69hemi.com which details a rotisserie build.

I made my own. labeled and numbered all of the pieces. It makes it so much easier for everyone else that I have loaned it to for them to assembly it in the past. I have since added mounts on the rear of each end to add the bottle jacks to to adjust it up & down easier.

I had my eye on one of these,

http://www.asedeals.com/store/workhorse-...CCABEgLkbPD_BwE

seems like decent prices considering After buying the hydraulic cylinders, casters, threaded rod and hardware, steel, and misc parts and shipping, you'd be close to what these cost without the work of fabricating, welding, and paint.

Build or buy, but watch the space you have available. Some units take up a lot of room in the front and back of the Vehicle. And, to get it nicely balanced, you may have to mount the car high enough that it won't clear your ceiling. Good luck!

Well for all you flag wavers, I guaranty you that for $1000. that Titan unit isn't made in the USA !!! Its not the steel that costs the money, its the labor - and that unit has way to much labor in it to have been made in the US and sell at that price.

I see so much China bashing on here I just thought I'd point this out. Guys won't run a $50 China water pump on their motor but they'll put their rare hemi car on a Chinese rotisserie. Personally, I see no issues with the unit, just making the point about it being an "offshore" unit. Don't whine if "making America great again" doesn't happen in your lifetime !
