I offset one once & it leaked but I very well may have done something wrong. Agreed on a very small drop of sealant on the ends where the ends meet. I like to use some real thin sealant around the OD of the seal itself, permatex 99MA "high tack", is is a very thin tacky spray sealant/glue so I'm very carefull on how I apply it as to not get any of it where it don't belong.

I dont offset them ..just put a dap of rtv where they connect. I do that on all of the ones I do, especially with the ones that have the tang on the upper or lower(CRS which one has them ) part
