I couldn't help but notice how Tony ranted about jf racing hight.
Do you think tony is still sore about his argument when tony was still driving?

Tony or caps for that matter said nothing about Anderson racing his team car. Mysteriously pushed in the clutch?

TP is a whiny weenie. He's evidently holding a grudge.

One is still driving and has a team. The other is doing a not so good job doing color commentary.

I was watching on All Access not Fox, but it did look like he took it out of the groove quickly so it would spin the tires. He also had a .193 light. It stunk to me.

However he did let Courtney and Robert race and it was Robert that smoked the tires that time.

I think the KB cars race heads up. Bo had severe tire shake against Anderson.

My $.02, you mileage may vary.

John through the race against Robert......PERIOD!

If I was DS Racing I would do everything I could to get Capps the Championship now.

I think Tony knows more about John than most people. John obviously threw the race with that RT, and pretty much everyone on-screen including Joe Amato called him on it.
That's the 2nd time Force has thrown a race against Hight to help him advance in a Championship, and it worked the last time, which I think was 2009. I understand the business side, but it's nothing I'd be proud of doing.
I really hope Capps kicks the Force team's butt in Pomona, and Torrence does likewise.

The whole point of a having a racing team is to get a better shot at the championship! - don't kid yourself - money is doing the talking here and the whole strategy is for a member of the TEAM to win - nothing else. Anderson, Force, Schumacher and Kaletta will do what it takes to put the #1 on a car at the end of the year! - the rest is just entertainment for the fans!

Horsecrap! Force threw it away, even Ray Charles could have seen it. I don't go for "the team win" deal. If I was racing against my Dad,you can be damn sure both of us would be out to win, none of this take it for the team crap.
Don Schumacher was right in saying something about it too.

Answer this scenario then - You have enough points to go to the final and win 1 Million dollars and the championship but your dad does not have the same points or opportunity - but in order to get to the final you have to beat your dad in the semi's - what do you do???

Only a complete MORON would walk away from the million (which is significantly more because you also get sponsor money) and chance losing a sponsor.

It is what it is. You can't just give away money.

Nor me. I used to find time and watch a recorded version, but with TP on the mike? No thanks.

So Schu is all over the media bitching about this and yea, it's too bad race teams have TEAM orders. BUT...Was it 2014? (2013?) when three of the DSR cars took dives to get Hagan the title?

Shut up Schu...

Make it so these mega owners can only own/drive TWO FCs and TWO TFs, go to 8 car fields, shorten the National events to 2 days, etc, etc, etc...

Throwing the race is an example of how Big Money ruins purity, and eventually, the Sport that brings in the Big Money.
"We have seen the Enemy, and He is Us."
Back in the day, sure, it was about winning, but sportsmanship & honor were held in high regard, if not being absolutely essential. Guys raced out of their garages. Your team was your buddies who contributed. One car. Problem was, nobody earned any real money at it and some guys wanted to, which is understandable. Plus it was getting more expensive to win as new parts were invented to feed the/our addiction.
It's pretty much human nature: racers want to go faster/quicker, fans like the big numbers, racing-related businesses need income, and things spiral. The only guys that pretty much have a handle on it are the Nostalgia guys.
I think it was Capps that mentioned that a lot of fans were booing Force all down the return road, obviously concluding that he'd thrown the race and they'd been gypped out of the show that every ticket-holder pays for. That sure isn't good for the Sport, NHRA, or the sponsors.
So at the end of the day, or at the bottom line, whatever, one has to choose: sportsmanship or money? Like I said earlier, I understand the money; but I have more appreciation for sportsmanship, as I find it more noble and worthy of more respect.

Do my best to beat him. He'd want it that way too.And I can assure you if the scenario was reversed,he'd do the same thing.

No, definitely, infinitely better than ol' Paul Fail Page. He knows a lot about fuel racing is why he got the nod. He's probably nervous at times and screws up a bit. Dave Reiff, who I always liked, can be a complete tard at times as well. Reinhart is the man!

Exactly!!! You just said it - do your best to beat him and win the mil. So what would your dad do - take you out and you lose the mil? tsk

Also if you really do go to races with your buddies and you are all in the same class do you all get together and go to staging at the same time to run each other? LOL - I bet you spread out so that you do not knock each other out to increase your odds of getting into the $$$$. whistling

we all remember years ago when JF tried to get everyone on board and "ok" with the "team" crap.... and it backfired. You would have thought he would have remembered when Angelle didn't even show up to the line when her team owner was racing toward a championship and the backlash involved there. Just another reason this "show" really has no meaning to me. At least the loud mouth isn't trying the old "this ole truck driver" shtick anymore. Where he came from, and what he's become are two different things. Personally when Castrol pulled the plug, I was hoping it was the beginning of the end.
