"The Hellcat crate engine, cheekily nicknamed ‘Hellcrate’ by FCA, produces 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque – the same output the engine has on offer in the Challenger and Charger Hellcat. The crate engine will come with a powertrain control module, power distribution center, wiring harness, chassis harness, accelerator pedal, ground jumper, oxygen sensors, charge air temperature sensors and a fuel pump control module. In other words, it comes with just about everything you’ll need to make your own Hellcatted creation at home – let’s just hope that big HEMI fits in your project car.

FCA says the Hellcrate is optimized for use with manual transmissions, ideally the Tremec Magnum six-speed that comes in the Challenger Hellcat, and is intended for pre-1976 street and off-road vehicles. The engine also comes with an unlocked PCM, meaning the full 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque will be on offer all of the time – no black and red keys here. The crate will be offered with an optional Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) kit as well, which includes an alternator, power steering pump, belts, pulleys and other necessities for installing the engine.

“Never before has a supercharged, factory-direct 707-horsepower crate engine kit been offered, and we are proud to be the first to deliver a solution enthusiasts have demanded,” said Mopar boss Pietro Gorlier. “This ultimate powertrain option fits the needs of owners and fans who demand iconic performance.”

The Hellcrate has been priced from $19,530 in the United States. It will be on display at the 2017 SEMA Show this week before becoming available online and through Mopar retailers."

I think that will be a great option for some...

But at the pricing and the fact that a NA one can make 700hp on pump gas, I will just build one my way.

Does anyone make a adapter for mounting a 727 to the hellcat motor?

Now I need to pin those needles, got to feel that heat
Hear my motor screamin while I'm tearin up the street
