Hi Folks. My T/A exhaust tips are rusting. I am pondering just buying a pair of the repops from a vendor. But I am wondering what kind of chrome plating they come with? Am I better off having mine triple chrome plated??

Over the years gathering parts for my way too long dragged out T/A project, I bought a pair of NOS takeoff tips and also at some point bought some repros. It's been a number of years since I sold the repros, but for whatever reason I decided I didn't like them and went with restoring my NOS takeoff ones instead.
One thing I do recall is that the repros were sitting on a shelf in my garage for a few years and already started getting some surface rust/light pitting on the chrome in that time.
How close do the repros match the OE ones? Do they have the baffle in the end? The drain hole? The little nubs on the pipe where it installs in the muffler to gage how far the pipe inserts in the muffler?
Even the originals had poor enough quality chrome they most likely need rechroming before installing on a show car.
Whatever the case, I had mine redone by a local guy here, who only does work for friends nowdays so sorry I can't send customers to him, but I am really happy with my restored originals and wouldn't have it any other way on my car!

Seeking info on a Mr Norms sold T/A VIN JH23J0B308737. Does it still exist?

You might look at TTI... their tips are polished stainless (at least for my Challenger) and clean up well even after time and hard use.
