i run a 383 in a street/strip 71 dart. its all steel and has a 4000 stall,3.91 gears, manual valve body, and 26 inch tall tire. its curently running super stock springs. i went a best of an 11.32 at 119 mph with a pathetic 1.64 60 ft. the tires arnt spinning but the suspension isnt working. what should i do? i forgot 2 mention i run an edelbrockcarb. are the secondaries coming in 2 late?

That stuff works good. I would change the tire to 28" and probably the gears too, but thats me. How efficient is the converter?

If your times are consistent, stay with what you have. If not, the caltrac setup will help your consistency on marginal tracks.

I like em a lot. That does seem like a small tire to me also but I can say that my car didn`t start coming around till I went to cal-tracs and good ft. shocks.

Get a holley......easier to tune and designed for racing. Just my humble opinion and I`ve seen a nice difference in performance from the swap.

S.S springs and snubber ,street et radials.all motor , in complete street trim as the same as I drive around town.

If the tires are not spinning your not going to see much gain. But it will for sure not be a step backwards.

IMO you need more gear, I run a 365 ci Dart, runs 11.50s on a throttle stop and my 60fts are low 1.50s with a 4.56 gear. off the stop its gone 10.40 at 126 with a 1.40 60ft with S/S springs and a Pinion snubber and 4.88s on radial slicks. 10.50s on bias slicks and 4.56s. I went to a Cal- Trac/ Mono leaf set-up and lost 3-4 in 60ft. But my 60fts are more consistent. I never got the big gain I expected like high 1.30 60fts, the car leaves differently and is working better though.
