Actually running a 451 stroker (400 block 440 crank and 400 rods) Edelbrock performer rpm intake and heads into a Dodge Charger 1967
I'm planning to install roller cam Edelbrock 2206, I check the cam card: Duration (240° / 248° @ .050) Valve lift (.540'' / .545°) Lobe Seps 112° ICL 107
Any suggestion may too much cam for street and occasional strip.

Too much may be pretty subjective... also depends on how you plan to drive it and the rest of the combo.

240 degrees intake duration and 451" suggests idle will be a bit rough. Also a bit smelly. It may or may not have enough vacuum for power brakes if that matters. The 112 LSA will help in that regard though not the best for mid range torque.

It also depends on converter (if auto), rear gear and tire diameter. Compression ratio also. Can you post that information?

If you want nice street manners, maybe 220 or 230 degrees intake duration @.050 would be better. If you want a full high RPM racer, maybe 250 or 260 degrees.

I run 243 degrees in my Ed headed 496 and like it (with a tighter LSA of 108 degrees). The idle is a bit rough and smelly but it starts to smooth out over 2000 RPM and runs well. Your cam is in the same general ballpark.

My stall B&M Holeshot 2400, but 3.23 rear end with 26 inches tires...
I have good compression 11.25 I mix 100ll and 94 octane with good results.

I run a Comp cams street solid roller in my 10:1 470" low deck. It's 242/248 @.050 with .570/.576 lift. Idles like a kitty at 900 w/12" vacuum and pulls like a freight train up to 6k. Been in my motor for a few years with zero issue.

The difference is that he is going with a hydraulic roller. So the reality is that the 0.050" numbers are really not directly comparable, and seat timing will be a lot more on the hydraulic due to the slower ramps.

So I think there will be more lump in his idle than yours, but probably okay. It will be a matter of what the OP deems acceptable for idle and low speed characteristics.

I forgot to mention I have power brakes and Edelbrock states:
Idle vac. at 1000rpm = 10

As per your recommendations, I must find a milder cam...
With 2400 stall and 3.23 gears in a Charger 1967 with power brakes...
May be the Comp Cams 23-710 will be a better choice with (.224 / .230 @ .050) (.538 / .534 lift) (110 lobe sep angle).

I don't mean to hijack your post but what valve springs are you planning to use? I got into an involved discussion with a Mopar owner that runs a big roller cam and he claimed even street rollers need a lot of valve spring due to the faster acceleration ramps on the roller cams. He maintained that you'll float the valves out without additional spring pressure.

With 11.25:1 compression you don't want to run too small of a cam or you will have to run 110+ race gas.
My old 451 with 11:1 compression ran a 251/251 @ 0.050" solid roller. Vacuum was not great, but worked with my power brakes although adding a vacuum reserve canister is a good idea. I was on the edge with pump gas only (ok on the street at less than full throttle), and normally mixed 1/4 to 1/2 110 race gas with pump gas when I went racing.
I also ran a 10", 3200+ stall converter and 3.91:1 gears.

What cam are you running now?

Springs I use now are from the Edelbrock Performer Rpm heads 60929

Edelbrock now make Performer Rpm heads 60925 for roller cam...

60929 1.885" = 115 lbs.
1.400" = 280 lbs.

60925 1.885" = 140 lbs.
1.380" = 317 lbs.

I'm planning to use proper springs with roller cam.

I am happy with the Isky 8005A valve springs wsed with the Comp Hydraulic Roller cam XR286HR-10. seat is 135 lbs @ 1.875", 400 spring rate, so at 0.500" lift (1.375") pressure is 335 lbs.
That cam is mild in the 505" stroker with 10.3:1 compression. Could have used the larger cam, but was unsure if the EFI would like it?

I will go with Comp Cams xr274hr-10

You ever give any thought to lowering your compression with a thicker head gasket or something? Seems awfully high given the rest of the combo.
