I've got a 600 CFM Edelbrock carb, stamped 1405. Id like to find a carb kit for it in an auto parts store locally if that's possible. Does this carb share a kit with anything common off the shelf? part number or application would help. How about the floats too? The Edelbrock kit is $40-$50 and the eBay kits are around $36 with floats. I can go that route but wanted to get a kit tomorrow. Thanks guys.

what does your local part store say?

I cannot be 100% certain, I have not asked them, but I think we both know how that will end up.

If anyone else here has any experience with this and wanted to share some info, that would be great. Thanks.

I think most Carter and Edelbrock carbs are handled by one kit. I'd be surprised if I parts place would not be able to get you one.

No direct exp if the AFB stuff is identical but you might tomorrow morning call "the carburetor shop" in Eldon Missouri (Google it) & he might give a quick yes or no & if yes then which AFB kit to ask for.

On the AP store approach, I have not had great luck for "speed" parts. Mancini seems to have the kits for the Edelbrock 1405. With expedited shipping you could get them pretty fast. Link below.
