10sec340 OP member 1 Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 123 long beach,ny	I have out of the box 440-1's on my 498 was thinking either get them cnc and flow to 345's plus some manifold matching or buy a better head ! Any body go from a 440-1 to another ??? Tim real 383 car now 440..

AndyF I Win A Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 30,994 Oregon	The 440-1 head should be fine on a 498 motor unless you're shooting for more than 900 hp. Pull them off and send them to Jeff at Modern Cylinder Head and get them CNC ported.
