1967 2 speed wiper system (Barracuda)
According to the parts book, the motor should be p/n 2808 767.
However the popular lists on-line suggest it may not be.
The stamping on the motor appears to begin with 28?2
(I'll try to get a better look and photo of the stampings next trip to the garage.)

Problem is when the wipers are turned off, they go to the bottom of the windshield but then travel up an inch.

According to the '67 FSM, the 'timing' of the park switch should be adjusted. Has anyone taken apart a similar motor or know where this the Park Switch timing is on the 2 speed motor?

According to my '68 shop manual, this doesn't apply to 2 speed motors. I'm guessing the '68 wiper motor operates differently.
So if my motor is not a '67, then I'd like to know that before I start taking things apart.

I wanna say 67 wiper motors are different than 68...

When Jules did my 67 motor he passed some knowledge onto me about that but I can't remember what all was said...

I think the 67 two speed look like the 68 three speed?????

So a 68 FSM will lead you astray on this item..

Got any pictures?

Here's some more of mine.
Stamped on the motor.
2822 963 58151 3326

On the mechanism housing is a white paint stamp 24.

According to the list that appears to have started with Jules, this would be a 1966-67 Variable speed motor with white switch plate.

My car is equiped with a standard 2 speed wiper switch, and only 3 wires from the bulkhead to the wiper. This would make a two speed. Certainly has worked OK as a 2 speed..but its really a variable???

I can see now that the white plastic plate has shrunk slightly so it is not seating on the mounting lip. Probably should be a bit more water and dirt tight. Not sure what to do to fix that. ???
