Going Saturday to look at a one-owner '14 SE. Any known problems? 3.6 a pretty good engine?
Thanks.

A guy I work with had a 13 that he just got rid of. The 3.6 and the 8 speed are a good combo, he always said he got 30 mpg in it. He traded it in for a R/T a few months ago, I don't think he ever had any issues.

I like the 3.6 in my Ram. Its a stout little v6, but the 8 speed really helps to keep it in the power band.

I have a '14 Police with 5.7 though. We do have 3.6's at work. VERY good engines. Stout and reliable. Police packages started getting solid bushing tension struts mid '14. They were very problematic prior, especially when driven hard. Civi's don't have them so you may have some trouble with them, especially if you drive it hard. You can replace them with the Police ones down the road. Part number for those: 68234847AA

Facts are stubborn things.

I had a '13 Tim, 3.6 and 8 speed, loaded SXT with the Ralley package. AWESOME combo - plenty of power for a heavy car, 32+ on the freeway, rock solid combo. I only traded it to go RT in '15 and then Scat Pack in '17. You might say that I love that platform lol

I've got a '12 with the 3.6 and the 8spd, tho I have the 1 year only german built trans I believe. Aside from really lazy shifting software, the combo is very good. great mpg as stated. I bought the 3.6 since it didn't seem like I needed the cost of the hemi with a motorcycle and several old mopars around to drive as well.

Sorta bad news is the car sold just as we pulled in the lot. blush
Really good news is the wife decided she would rather have a Challenger. boogie She had thought a Challenger would be too low for her to comfortably get in and out of. They had a nice black on black R/T that she liked but I told her we didn't need a Hemi (What's a Hemi, dear?). So the search is on for a Challenger. smile

All three have been her cars so yeah, she likes them! I could have her call your wife and explain the whole hemi thing (if you want to end up with a Scat Pack that is) laugh2
