I understand where you are coming from. These after market companies think they no everything. When you tell them the issue you are having, they thing us racers do not no what we are are talking about. Then if you do your on work, you are the one that cause the issue. Hope they make it right.

I agree. CRT transmission still has not called or even PM me about the problem. What kind of service is that!

I'd at least drop the pan and verify it has the correct rod in it. I learned years ago that in hot rodding things don't always go right and sometimes I have to bend some too.

Nobody and no race part is 100% perfect 100% percent of the time.

I probably wouldn't either.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

It's a simple thing to pull the cable or rod out of the hole and see if the trans. shifts with nothing hooked to it. I've had cables that got too hot and would cause this issue.

Doesn't need to go to the bench. Couple minutes pulling the valve body. The arm comes out with it.

that exactly what I meant referring to the pict of the two style park rods.... at this point no need to pull the trans.

It is always nice when you email a vendor about a problem, show them pics of said problem and they ignore you. I know which vendor I WON'T be recommending anymore.

Hate seeing John/ CRT take a beating on the internet like this. He sponsors a race at Norwalk on his dime every year for us Mopar racers.
And i have seen him help guys with problems on his time for free when there was nothing in it for him except being a nice guy and wanting to help/ give advice so somebody could keep racing
He is one guy who i think definately has definately earned the benefit of the doubt, if not more.

Sorry, rant over...

mentioned that a ways back... the good book says to set the park brake and then shift to park.

...and this post doesn't sway my opinion of Mr. Cope. Met him once in Vegas, have ordered some small parts from him albeit quite a few years ago. Exchanged some diesel tech online... I have nothing against him or his product. I'm quite certain that if I called him out of the blue with a question or opinion that he'd oblige.

...and before we get into the "what if you spent the money" angle.... I've gone through my trans that had some issues and had it fail again (original from where I have no idea... was in the car when I got it from my dad), I've hauled it to probably the best torqueflight shop on the planet and had a weird failure. I'll either talk with them (texting picts etc..) and change stuff on my bench, or make the 4+ hour drive to drop it off with them. I've had my 727 in/out prob 4 time in the last two years. I think we finally have a handle on it, and I'm still confident that they've done everything in their power to fix this thing and I respect that to the end. I've spent good money on this thing and I'll continue to do so if need be. I know they're in my corner and treat them as such.

still very curious to see what the park rod looks like. Take a deep breath... lets fix this thing!!

The park rod does not seem to be the right one. Does not measure 8 3/16" for the 727. If this is the problem. Still waiting on CRT to call or PM.

well I dug around my immediate stash and only have the 904 one on the bench. Appears it measures 9 1/2" end to end.

I called your number twice and left a message, Pm you 3 days ago and never answered. How do you do business with customers treating them like this. I will never buy another CRT transmission when you can not even put them together right. Plus A and A transmissions are made better. Plus they do not copy others parts like you do.
