Anyone here recommend a radiator from the salvage yard that would fit in an abody? I'm going this weekend to search

You'd be better off measuring what you have and seeing what'll fit. Make a sketch with the measurements written down. Location and diameter of the hose connections,

BTW, A body is a fairly useless hint as to what you need.

What year, what engine, which A body, with or without AC.

Just bought a new one from Pep Boys a few weeks ago for my '68 /6 Dart. Spectra CU526, $170 out the door. It's 22". Had to order hoses from a '73 and up with AC. Lower hose fit well. Upper hose should have, but was off just enough that it had a kink in it. Ended up modifying my old lower hose from the 18" radiator for the upper.

There were three sizes of A-Body radiators, 18", 22", and later 26", so that may help us out a little to see what you actually have...

A 'newer' style radiator will have square top tank cross section.

With radiators, time and maintenance matter. Not sure you will find a good usable one in a JY. Nothing against JY's... I shop there also. I just don't think it is a very promising place to find a serviceable radiator unless you want a core to have rebuilt.

If low cost is the goal, suggest a Champion aluminum or AP store replacement. I have run both on a PU and the Champion worked better (painted black).

I've used several cheap aluminum aftermarket radiators in my fleet.

There's no advantage to crawling the yards looking for a used up radiator that's probably no better than what you have.

Sort of like buying used brake shoes.

I can think of at least one. Years ago I helped a friend put a V8 into a Chevy Luv.

We measured out the available space for a radiator, hose locations and diameters then went to the boneyard and started measuring. Believe it or not but the radiator out of an A100 with a /6 met the needs, we bought it and used it for mockup purposes. Turns out it was in good enough shape just to keep using it. So for mock up it has it's uses.

Depends on what your doing, and who made it when. I've gone through 3 aftermarket radiators on my G.Wagoneer. Daily driver - moderatel hard use. The original fit better, was made better, and was well worth patching (in comparison). I finally have a repop that appears to be almost as good as the original. We'll see how good the quality of the soldering is over the next year or two.
