IS this worth attending this weekend. I have a hotel room for the weekend up there but don't see much talk about it. Is this worth the effort to attend or not?? Have not seen anything here about it.

I've never been to this one Al. I hear it's a decent show. Some of the locals around here make the trip.

Speaking of track trips. My plan is to take the cuda out with the new motor July 8th to Capitol. Thought I'd mention it in case your in town. I have no idea what she'll do.

I will be here for sure. Am here all summer with the exception of when we will be racing in Chicago, Norwalk and possibly Indy

I've never been to a Mega Mopar as the schedule, purse and classes are set up by the host track, usually the same fare as the regular program. I see there at MGR they are running for only $800 in S/P on Saturday for Mopars, then the regular program for all makes on Sunday. They don't run NSS or Q16 so there isn't much going on.

Ran the Stocker in NSS a few years ago. Pretty small at that time. Do not know how it is now.

I thought about going to run the index race happening the same day but the weather is looking iffy and there is a Mopar race at my local track Sunday I always attend.

I heard it was a great race last year as it gets bigger each year. I wont make it but a few friends of mine are going and my brother wants to go but he is sick right now so he may not make it. Everyone I talked to about it last year said it was a good show and race. Ron

Lots of Mopars that you don't see at the track or on the street. Car show, new hemi race and a great facility to race. Get there early as it is popular and you don't want to be stuck in line.

Just got a text,the place is packed and they sent the index series HOME!

That place was faaaaaarrrrrr from packed maybe 110-120 cars racing. Maybe 40-50 cars in the show field most of them being new cars. 7 vendors selling in the swap meet. They didn't start racing till after 12. It's a poorly run event. 5 years ago the show was much better 35-40 vendors, lots of race/show cars and something to build on. Maybe the heavy rain overnight scared people away but it was out of the area and sun shining at 7:30 am. For those who went last year the show was even smaller than that....

I was there on the show field. I agree, far from packed. We had rain that stopped around 5:00am so maybe that made the difference. I attended most of these events, the 1st show in 2011. Big Daddy was there, raced the chally, and signed all of the trophies for the car show winners. The next year, Ray Barton judged the car show and 422 Motorsports was invited to race. The remaining shows, no personalities or added attractions were present. They had a hemi challenge this year but it was for late models. Although they were fast, I guess I'm old school and would have liked to see more classis race cars rather than late models. No SS/AH cars were present. I did hear that they ran them on Friday night in between rain and drying the track. I think they got 1 round in. Why in the he!! didn't they run on Saturday like usual as the weather was predicted to be perfect? Someone screwed up there. Those cars are a draw for me and most I talked to were disappointed they were not there.

I attended 5 of these events there since 2011 and before the awards, Lex Duda says next year will be even bigger. It hasn't and don't expect it will ever be. Doubt I'll attend this event next year unless things change.

Sure glad I didn`t tow all the way out there to run 11.50 index. BTW Congrats! to the Long Brothers I heard they were both in the Final with Don Jr. winning over Brett.
