Do I understand this correctly, the 590 was fine, you switched to "the best thing since sliced bread" lifter, and wiped a lobe. Is that correct?
I guess this is one of those instances where two people interpret the same situation two different ways. I heard, "I put new lifters on my 8 year old cam and it wiped a lobe". Which made me think......."why would one try and put new lifters on a well used cam"?

I have added a couple of things to my list that I got away with years ago but will NEVER try again.
1. I will never buy a used solid lift cam. 2. I will NEVER take a good used solid lift cam from one block and install it in a new build. (different block)

I've gone low 9.50's in my small block with them so they have their place.

Gone 9.08 @ 146, I have thought about a roller. Maybe when I want to hit the 8s? Don

That .590 cam was good in its day, which was at least 30 years ago. There is so much better out there now. I went roller awhile back and will never look back.
