Picked up this amazingly solid barracuda for my son. Was taken down to bare metal, had a few small rust issues taken care of, brought back up and close to paint now. Was jammed under hood plum crazy but going EK2 Vitamin C for his school colors. Haven't had an ebody since 1996 and glad could finally get one to pass down.

Past owner was a 75 year old guy that is an amazing body guy and was building for himself but arthritis has stopped him and it needed to go. Car is a '70 Gran Coupe optioned as white car (no vinyl top) with 318, auto with buckets and console. PS, PB and A/C. No build sheet but has fender tag.

Nice car! Did it have the B&W hounds tooth cloth seat covers with red piping and red door panel inserts?

It did! Still has the door panels in it and great shape. He replaced the seats with nicer ones but all the originals came with.

There was another white GC in California with the same interior combo, it was a low mile survivor and looked STUNNING! I get the whole High School colors thing but you should really consider returning to to stock.

Thanks guys. He's been a hands on kid since could crawl and has helped with most of the cars. He's ready to start sanding and getting this one ready for paint. smile

We're definitely considering it, I've shown him white examples and says he likes.

In many years of following them I've only seen a couple, quite a scarce combo and really attractive in person, especially with that interior.

Actually as of right now, he's saying he likes the white much better. Are the seat covers available?

Yes, Legendary makes them, I would recommend buying them from Dante's Parts, he's a great vendor and often sells for less than going direct.

The factory used wood grain and red inserts, it depended on the cars color and interior. The red is definitely the less common of the two (and my favorite) Your boy made a wise decision to keep that car in its original combo, it will look awesome when done.

White is the way to go.

Super cool project if you put the correct interior back in it
