I've never seen any factory documentation for the actual paint color, but in my experience looking at original cars including my own it was fairly dark.

I could check If I only knew how to post pictures. Click on "Reply" of a topic. At the bottom of the text section, you'll see "file manager" right above the submit. Click on "file manager" to select a picture. Then submit. IF the picture is too large for this forum, that's another animal and it will tell you if the file is too large and what the min and max is

I think i used krylon nickle shimmer metalic on my old car with good results.
