Just curious if anyone has ordered one of these recently?

I am being told 90 - 120 day lead time.

Saves about $1,500 over the KB block so I cant help but be interested. Thoughts?

Thanks

It's not as nice, so it depends what you want it for.

Just a nice 572 street motor, the KB seems like overkill for what would probably be a 750 crank HP motor.

I have one of the first ones out and have been able to make close to 1100 HP with it. I am on my 5th rebuild with no problems. That said, I also had one that grenaded on the 27th pass. I don't think it had anything to do with the block. I'm not sure how Bill is making hem these days, but if they come with push rod oiling and are basically ready for a mild clean up and assembly, I think it would be fine.

Point of order, the aluminum block is strictly Bill Mitchell, not World any more.

I have used both aluminum and iron versions of the block. Had some definite QC issues with the latest one which is aluminum the others are still trucking now.
