TONY_DAGOSTINO OP master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 8,160 DELAWARE	So does anyone have conclusive proof, not from someones uncle that remembers, that they came with chrome valve covers are there any road tests or dealership pictures or list of what items the 383 package included? the parts book isnt conclusive and sorta confusing due to the lack of the HP b-body left valve cover NOT being listed the page from the data book doesnt mention chrome valve covers and neither does the window sticker www.TONYSPARTS.COM

mccannix master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 4,782 Ontario, Canada	I cant add anything regarding the valve covers, but why does the brochure mention 'black crackle finish air cleaner' and '"383 Super Commando" decal atop carburetor air cleaner' yet show the ribbed air cleaner. Survivor picture shows wrinkle finish and 383 Four Barrel pie tin ...so what is correct there I would think the later.

I have had 9 1969 survivor 383 Darts and 2 Barracudas all with chrome valve covers. The picture with the 17" unsilenced air cleaner is from a 67 or early 68. Here is a picture of mine I took this morning, hopefully it will be re-restored again one day...
