I'm looking at a complete set that was taken off a 69 superbee, but after almost 50 years things get changed. So I want to make sure I'm getting what I pay for. How can I identify that I'm looking at a 69 disc brake set up for a 69 b body. Thanks

Post a picture of what your looking at.
I can tell you, or somebody will.
But, 66-69 B body brakes are Bendix, 4 piston calipers.

I don't have any pics, I'm going to look at them tomorrow, the guy wants $400 for the set. Is there any part numbers to check on the spindles or calipers? Is $400 a high price?

There is no way i can give you my opinion on parts value, without knowing the condition of all the parts.
You better do your own homework, research, on the Bendix brake systems before you buy.
They are mighty expensive $$$$$$$ wise to rebuild.
The cost or rotors, calipers, or kits, new pistons, maybe sleeving the caliper bores, if they are pitted, flex hoses, bearings, are going to set you back lots of $$$$$$$.

Looking on the internet these look like C Body disc brakes, would these even work on a 69 Bee?

With that 2 piece rotor and hub assemblie, that's a design that was used on the 69, 70, 71, 72, single piston calipers.
They ARE NOT 66-69 vintage B body parts.
They to me appear to be "C" body brakes, by looking at the spindle.
That spindle looks to be pretty "tall" to me.

And to answer your other question.
NO, C body brakes don't work on a B body car, or any other body style for that matter.
For one thing the spindle is way too tall.

What car does you buddy say they came off of anyway, or does he even know?

If you want some disc brakes on your car, look for a decent set of 73-76 A body brakes, or 73-74 E body brakes.
Rotors, calipers, are cheap for them, and readily available.
And or, even later.
Aspen, Volare, Diplomat, 5th. Avenue, 73-up B body brakes are good candidates, from donor cars.

Ok, all this is water under the bridge, now.
Should have told you to measure the thickness of the rotors.
1.000 inch would be B and E body, 1.250 would be C body brakes.
Then they might be 70-71-72 B & E brakes.
