We are sorry to report that our friend Roland Osborne, the editor and owner of Chrysler Power magazine, and one of the founders of the National Hemi Owners Association, has lost his battle with brain cancer this morning, 04 18 17. God Bless, Roland.

Wow. Another one gone.
Damn sad.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

Any that knew Roland--and that is most of us know That he was a good man--LOVED Mopars--loved people and know...he was a Jesus man! Happy Trails Roland, many of us have mixed the devil and lots of cussing with Mopars and racing--you went the other way--I admire that you stuck to your guns

Wow...Roland and I go way back to when these mopar muscle cars were just used cars... Roland was a key player in shaping the mopar world we have today. He helped me set up a whirlwind tour of mopar related businesses in the LA area back in the early 90's where we spent time with Dick Landy and others in the old mopar business. But most importantly! He was instrumental with Chrysler Power's magazine support when I fought and won against Chrysler & their lawyers heavy handed enforcement of their [not yet] trademarked words like Hemi etc with the mopar car clubs. Early 1990's. The publicity & support helped change the corporate mentality that the older cars were an "insignificant business opportunity". [We had that in writing]. Frank Mitchell [RIP]; John/Vickie McBride & Rob Wolfe-Mopar Collectors Guide all were in the mix as well, supporting the push back at mother mopar with a public relations letter campaign...Chrysler received thousands and thousands of letters [real letters in huge mailbags] protesting their heavy handed stupidity. Amazing times. We all got the last laugh when Mark Reynolds of Mopar Performance spoke to a crowd 300+ mopar folk and admitted that Chrysler had made a mistake. That was way too much fun beating the detractors into submission Precious memories, thank you so much Roland. Godspeed Roland.

I met Roland and one of his partners in the NHOA at that time in the mid 1970s is what I remember at the Spring Fling car show and swap meet in San Fernando, CA. We talked about hemi motors for a little while and then he went about looking for parts. He was putting a 1966 or 1967 B body together with a 426 street hemi motor together for NHRA stock class racing , I saw him at one or two Division 7races and several more times at the Fall and Spring Fling meets at Woodley park and I heard later he had moved back east. RIP, my fellow Mopar racer Brother

RIP Roland! Nice guy for sure. Got the headers on my car from him that were the magazines dyno test set! I will always be grateful!
416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out. 11.06 open headers----so far!!
