Replacing rear shocks on a 99 Ram 2500 sport. Rear sway bar is in the way of bottom shock bolt, passenger side. Is there a right way, wrong way to lower sway bar to get shock bolt clearance? Or do I just unbolt it both sides?

I'm not familiar with that suspension, but in most cases all you do is unbolt the bar. You could probably just unbolt the one side that's in the way if that gives you enough clearance.

OK Thanks. I was just afraid of getting a face full of metal. I didn't know if the sway bar was under tension and I would get an unpleasant surprise with the last bolt removed.

Nope, the sway bar is not under load. You're good.
