Putting a 68* Plymouth b body back together after paint. So, anyway the brake caliper hoses are WAY TOO SHORT. Had single caliper brakes on it when I bought the car. Shocked it had`nt torn them off already.

Who/Where has LONGER caliper hoses? I would guess need about 2" longer to be safe.
These are 15" total lenght

I took my hoses to a local hydraulic line/brake hose maker, told him what length to make, and he did, for both the van and the AMX. Didn't even cost as much as the lines would have cost at the local auto parts store. He can use the ends on your lines, or maybe have the ends, or order them.

the ones for iirc a 78 volare are longer, these have a metal bracket in the middle of the hose length for mounting on that app & you can cut off half of the bracket or all of it if you are careful. banjo end/female inverted flare end for 3/16 line iirc. I'd call your parts house & have em pull one & measure it/confirm the ends are what you need.

That caliper will never yield clean hose routing when mouted toward the rear.

I'm the only source for new slider calipers that can be mounted toward the rear and still yield clean flex hose routing:

OT I would suggest using the OE ribbed copper washers & cleaning the rings with a dental pick then scrubbing em with a non metallic brush. there is a still a part # for new ones but they supercede you to the flat ones that can (but not always) be leakers but used OE ones will seal fine.
