Hey guys,
Does anyone have, or know where I can find, info on the Roundup package. I have a club cab shortbed, and I can't find much of anything about this package.
Thanks,
Mike Beachel

Hasn't anyone heard of this truck? I know it's the only one I've ever seen. Attached is a pic of the bed side decal.

Thanks guys,
I knew they were part of the "customized as purchased" package trucks, but I was hoping to find info on what the package was specifically marketed for, and possible desirability as a collectable. I have been told that they were only marketed in the Northeast, which is where I am, but at this point, I don't have anything to verify that claim. If anyone has any additional information, I'd certainly appreciate being privy to it.

Had a similar odd option on a 79 4x4 ramcharger se back in 79. Had the "Prospector" package, which was not explained on the window sticker either. I've seen several Prospectors over the years, but I don't recall ever seeing a Ramcharger with that package. Interesting.

Here is some Prospector info for 1987. It is basically a group of options combined. For 79 it was probably fewer options. There is very little info for the Round Up that I can find. I've seen a few trucks over the years. I'm guessing they were all 4 wheel drive due to how the sticker is constructed. The best info I have is from member *79POWERWAGON*/*DYNOTUNE* (Thanks) The "Round Up" trucks was a limited/regional/promotional package that was intended to increase sales of 4X4's in the '78/'79/'80 model years. All trucks(including Ramchargers) would have had the Round Up decal on the rear of bed (but not necessarily the stripes down the sides).Optional were big blocks and 5 slot chrome wheels like the Red Express.I do not have the original tailgate to see if spur/western theme decals matched rest of truck. My truck is not that heavily optioned:plain bench seat-no tuff wheel-vinyl floor mat, but did come with 400/4bbl 727/np203-light conv.package and chrome front and rear bumpers to match wheels, other Round Up's may have more options depending on location or specs.of dealership orders.Round Ups were avail.in Brite Tan Poly metallic(AY70MU3),black and ...? Info or corrections on this or any other special(decal)packages always welcomed.

I have a 79 RC Prospector that I bought from the original owner (even got the down payment rect from the dealer). Best I can tell is that the prospector package was the decals and the upper body (adventurer) molding. Was built 318-2, 3 tree, pie plates, vinyl low backs, am radio, silver dash face, no door inserts, no tail light trim, quad head lights. Has generic "custom" badge on dash, no pkg code on under hood sticker.

My 78 D-150 has both Adventurer, and Prospector tags on it. Nothing special that I could tell. It "had" a nice interior and some chrome trim. /6 with 727 and 8 1/4. Figured, a dealer spec. to look nice and be economical.
I have mechanical Aptitude. I can screw up anything.

nice Ramcharger! would love to find a RC or a Trailduster to go along with my Warlock I get that and wouldn't mind adding 4wd Warlock. Maybe a big block 2wd. Would also go for a 2wd pop top, club cab dually, street van....
