I believe there also was a 63 Ply Belvedere max wedge car with the same name that a friend owed about 10 years ago. PM me and I will send you his e-mail as he may know the original owner of both cars.

its a 68 charger with a 69 front end ,452 cu.in. 727 with ta brake dana with 538 gears ,it has lots of fiberglass and weighs in at 2710 race ready, it has run a best o 6.61 in the 1/8th mile with a 1.41 60 foot ,it was built by Sheldon Gecker in Milwaukee ,and raced in the area for years...

That was Al Olster's car in New Jersey. Al was primarily a Chevy guy. I believe it was established before on this site that there was no connection between Al's car and the WI "One Step Beyond."

There is a big thread on Facebook with GreatLakes Dragaway the first 20 years with Sheldon Gecker and Burleigh Super Shell. Sounds like Rook440 made contact with Mike (original owner) and he is going to drive out some time and check it out. It's pretty cool on how things in this world happen, heck I'm happy myself!!!
