So the suregrip in my 8 1/4 is peg legging now, what are some of the strongest suregrip units out there for a 8 1/4, the car is my 79 volare with a .040 400 big block, backed by a tremec t56 from a viper truck with a hardened 9310 gear set, I do also have a open 8 1/4 carrier that i could use a yukon spartan locker in, there are a ton of choices out there, from yukon to the monkey grip lunch box locker ( which a lot of jeep guys have had great success with) the car is being built for road racing, and a bit of drifting, but mostly road racing, not 1/4 mile balls out racing, so just looking for opinions on what people have used in their 8 1/4's with great success, and a rebuildable unit is also a plus smile

Regards,
-Mike

Thanks for the post bump 1fast340, and do you have any details Dart451 on that suregrip? Is it factory or after market, new used etc, I do have an open that I was thinking about taking to a local shop and having it welded solid, I mean they did one car that competes I formula drift and that car is pushing over 700 WHP.... but I am not sure how much I'll hate welded diff life lol
