Word is the FI, no hood scoop and the RPM limit did in the combination.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

AJ said in a Drag Race Central article a few weeks ago that the Hemis don't like the lower rpm's. Sad to see the Mopars struggling so much.

So Monte, do you mean OEM supercharged motors in PS chassis? Maybe either in sealed/crate form, or with teams allowed to tweak on them? That could be interesting, and more in line with Pro Stock's roots...especially if rules dictated a more-stock body, more of it being OEM materials. I know a lot of folks are caught up in the 6-second ETs, but I don't care as much about that as much as seeing an actual contest; heck, I love the Stock & SS classes all the way "down" to the 12-second cars. That might step on the FS classes, but Pro Stock Camaro is pretty boring, and they look as much like OEM Camaros as my '97 Mustang does. It would be better if PS had the Big 3's ponycars represented.

I found it pretty entertaining a few years back... Definitely helped the AJ was winning races, but mainly because it wasn't the summit show. I won't even watch it now.

guess I don't mind watching two guys smarter than the rest kick butt. not like line and Anderson are store bought butts in the seat or anything. Two smart guys around a race car. sure I'd prefer it be a mopar, but it is what it is.
Big 3 pony wars.... more like two ponies and one horse holding an 8x12 sheet of plywood. The Challenger is a pig. It's the 70's all over.
People tend to forget the continuous pissing and moaning that lead to the 500 ci and jelly bean bodies and spec fuel, etc, etc, etc......

That's exactly what I mean. Take existing Pro-Stock cars, drop in late model supercharged motors and go racing. This was the scenario that Mopar was really pushing for. The cars don't need to be stock. Already have that in Factory Stock, Top Stock, etc. No need to scrap millions of dollars worth of cars...........just change the motors. It's NOT going to move to stock bodies, because there is too much aero involved at those speeds. Would be fairly easy to even out the aero packages between the 3 cars. A cubic inch and boost limit and go from there

Aha...yeah, I'd guess that ETs doing it that way could be 7s (faster than FS) and the chassis investments would be fairly safe. I would think the existing PS package already has the aero fairly standardized, though with FCA having dumped the Dart, a downsized Challenger (which may be coming anyway) or a new model would have to enter production. Like Slantzilla says, and it's true across motorsports, that racers being racers, they'll look to politic for an advantage; but without having the Big 3 all involved, PS is doomed as it is now. Time for a "come to Jesus" talk with them & NHRA.
