There is no gasket on the shift cable but the rubber O ring is .700" OD X .100" thick.

It sounds like someone has put a older cast iron torqueflyte in that car Does the cast iron transmission case bolt into the aluminum bell housing? If so you have a early cast iron tranny in that car, not a 727 like should be in it

It sounds like someone has put a older cast iron torqueflyte in that car Does the cast iron transmission case bolt into the aluminum bell housing? If so you have a early cast iron tranny in that car, not a 727 like should be in it Cab, I think your forgetting the parking lock housing that were on early 60s TFs. I don't know if you can buy one of those gaskets separate. Probably easier to make one. LINKY

So that's for the park brake. I scrapped out a 65 New port a few years back. I also thought that was the shifter cable.
I have mechanical Aptitude. I can screw up anything.
