Having been backed off the starting line because of a power window that would not go up.......well, that's just not a situation that will EVER happen again in a car I own.

I understand hot. I wear a -20 suit with fireboots and a Bandit helmet with a neck sock and a Hans device regardless of the car I am driving. Why? because I have it and why would I leave BETTER safety gear than required most of the time at the trailer.......because it's hot? That's not real smart. I also have a "cool vest" I can wear under my suit if it's brutally hot.

Not sure where some race that they couldn't find SOME soul in the staging lanes to open or close a passenger door for you. And realistically, how long are you really just sitting in the car, fully suited and ready to make a hit. A couple pair back maybe? In real time how long is that? Most know how long it takes to get ready to go and wait until the last possible second to do so and be ready when waived out.
