My restoration only have a bit over 1200hp. The other BMP blocks I have used have all been at or over 1000hp and show no signs of "bouncing the main" out of them either. Have another Bill Mitchell BB block in our Camaro, never one issue with it either, other than being a little heavy its been trouble free for 16 years.

Sure I'm making it up. Mains that fit so loose you can throw them in from across the room. Chinese studs with arp nuts. BMP copied a stock block and improved it only in the oiling but did nothing for the core strength. Just look at what indy, kb,and even hpp have done changes to on their blocks. Flame away. I wasted my money on a bmp and never again Agreed, they had this problem on SOME of these blocks, mostly early ones. Mine didn't. And yes the mains are looser than some blocks, I think by design. Do you have one you would like to get rid of? Did it grenade? Did someone figure out the mains weren't ARP and replace them with ARP? What? I would buy another one if they had a raised cam option. There have been problems with more that just World blocks. Sorry you had a bad experience, but I haven't.

Sorry you had issues. My guess is you got an early block though MP perfromace. Many of those early ones did not have ARP studs. From what I understand that was by contract from Mopar. No one said you made it up, however you did say they are restoration pieces. Obviously some of us don't feel the same way. And there are a number of them out there making plenty of power without issue. So feel free to flame away
I have had ZERO issues with all of the ones I have used. All but one of them is in a racecar being beat on a regular basis without issue. Never had one WITHOUT ARP main hardware. My current block had some issues to be sure. We concluded it was likely a "blem" block which was purchased from a respected large Mopar engine shop.

Well said, about the BMP block. Does anyone have a picture of the priority oil feed on the BMP block ? The Indy block does have priority oil feed to the mains and is the block we prefer to use. Its priced right compared to others and is available with options/upgrades that others are not. The new KB deal has a block MSRP of 6895.00 plus head studs and is only available in two versions, Ken is still there and same people making them, so time will tell if they get better. To make 1000 HP these days is pretty easy with a lot of the current big Mopar heads, just saying. I own a indy block, iorn mega block& kb... All needed work!!! and were no where near assembly, as deliverd.... The worst being the KB!!!! And to here they raised the price $1400..... What a JOKE!!!!!! Like I have said... I will Never order another KB as long as Ken and Tom black are machining them!!!!!

Well I am sure I will buy another block or 10 over the next few years. I have no issue with any of them, I have used all of them and they all needed some sort of work to be used as delivered. Just the cost of doing business, not been much different with the brand X stuff either really. Although I will say the worst problem came from KB and basically was not fixable to be used as ordered.

I agree all new blocks need to be tweaked and looked over to make everything usable.... my KB block, the decks were -.022" from where they were ordered, the rear main seal area was welded on,and the main line bore was off, those were just the big items that needed to be addressed. the block was a Little over $7700( lots of options ).... spent another $1500 fixing items..... I was the same $$$$ as a custom billet brad anderson block after all said and done, and would have gotten it way sooner.... any one reading this think before you drop that much hard earned money in a possible paper weight...

I'm a very satisfied Keith Black customer. I got my block around 2009 after a if I remember right 6-8 month time as told. I had my local machine shop take a small deck cut only because of my combo. I still pull out the paperwork occasionally just to reflect. I am putting together a nitrous combo right now and will be beating on it in the near future.
