I'd check with Brzezinski on any cast iron stuff.

Thanks, seems like there geared towards circle track racing. This will be a drag car application

Try modern cylinder head. They don't have W2 listed as a CNC option but may well do it.
They don't have the eddies listed either, or W5, but know they do both of those

Brett Miller, send him a PM. I think he has dabbled in these.

Larry Meaux would be the other person I would speak with, does a lot of Super Stock stuff

W2 or not, That is strong for a cast iron head

Back in the day when I worked at Diamond Racing Engines Butch would make the intake port rectangular for the drag racing engines! The oval ports were for the circle track engines! Good luck

I don't like the .300 lift numbers at all on that flow sheet. 179 @.300 is pathetic on a ported head. Especially on a head upgraded to a 2.08 intake valve.

1970 Duster
Edelbrock headed 408
5.984@112.52
422 Indy headed small block
5.982@112.56 mph
9.42@138.27

I don't think it matters much what the head does at 300 on a race head. The early numbers go right out the exhaust port

Keep in mind everyone doesn't run an .800 lift cam in their small block or shift at 8000 plus RPM.

That was Jeff's first go on the ports. He worked on them a bit more to pick up the lower lifts. My W5 heads did flow better than the .300" number and that was as cast with a Ø2.06" BBC stock valve.

Most of my junk will blow apart long before 8000 or I'd do it. Haha
