It looks like BMP has released there Big Blocks in Hemi and Wedge. They did a lot of good things like dual bolt pattern trans and priority oiling. There customer service is great also. I order a rear cam plug for a block I had and Bill was very helpful even on a $20 part. When I build another motor they will be getting my business.

Yes they have Cab. They are making improvements though, according to Bill. Mine is holding up great after 4 rebuilds and 1050-1100 HP combos. Al has one that eclipses my stuff too.

When I talked with Bill a few months ago they were just starting production on them again. They stopped production for a while.

I have used 5 of them. My current Predator is one as well but the block had some serious issue we had to address.

Al can you tell us the problems so we know what to look out for?

I have a KB and Indy as well. My KB also needed some work to be useable not to mention an error on their part that cost me $$$ and I did not get what was ordered. The Indy block also had some minor things needed. IMO the KB is the best block and hopefully now with the new leadership you will be able to get one easily again. When that happens we will be getting one for sure.

As for a picture does this work...

I think my last one was a "blem" block. It had some issues with the oil feed area of the block and the lifter angle was off. The others I have used there were no really big issues. This last one was and it was from a big name east coast Mopar engine shop.

Nothing is new. Theyre not new products. Same castings from the same foundry as before. You'll just be able to get them from stock and that will be new.
BM makes a good restoration block but not for power.

I don't recall Chrysler ever offering an aluminum 440 block in a production vehicle, or even a cross-bolted 440 block in any passenger car.

I have one of the new BMP 440 blocks and it has been nothing short of a pain in the pahtut. And yes, some day I will document it all.

OK, maybe they were a few problems after I got mine, but the KB's of late were needing lot's of extra work too. I'm sure with the new management they will be what they once were, but my world block has been flawless and on it's 5th rebuild as we speak. It never made less than 1000 HP.

Wrong again. My second B1 original engine that made 1034@7200 lasted for 224 passes. The first Predator engine had 142 on it, and I wanted to see how everything looked, it was still in good shape and I could have kept running it. We'll see how it does this next time. I'm saying you can get a bad block from BMP, KB, HP Performance, or Indy. It's up to us to take it to the right people to right the wrongs. I'm sure KB will be a good option and I might buy one myself, but if BMP had a raised cam deal, I would buy one of those too.

I fired mine for the first time the other night. So far so good. The only issue have been pushrods clearance and my issue with having to buy an extra tall lifter due to the lifter bushings.

That is not good news... How responsive have they been?
