I always thought all a/c cars got tinted glass all around?? Am I correct. It was kind of if you ordered a/c the book said you must also choose tinted glass? Can somebody clearify this? Thanks

they were two separate OPTIONS: H51 = Air Conditioning & G11 = full tinted glass

tinted glass was "recommended" with A/C, but not "mandatory"

but (1970) Chrysler would build an A/C car w/o tinted glass as long as G21 = clear glass with A/C was specified, if it wasn't specified the car would get built with tinted glass & the window sticker would show the additional cost.

Never saw an A/C car without full tint.

Tinted windshield only, non tinted side glass. Thats the way mine is.

Mine doesn't have any tinted glass, but I cannot vouch for what happened in the first 30 years of it's life. Early 10/69 LA built car.

Dealer tried to upgrade your AC to full tint but lots of purchasers chose not to do it. My 1971 Challenger Convertible has full tint and AC. Challenger was sold new in Texas, so coming from a warmer part of the USA people new the full tint was a benefit.
