Does anyone make a nice valley pan for a 383/400 with standard heads? I see they sell them for victor and Indy heads but can't find anything else.

AndyF has them. Check the trick flow head thread for pics of it.

I have a solid plate that works with aluminum "bat wings" for the intake gaskets. Basically a three piece setup that is designed for the Trick Flow heads but should work with any standard port head. I also have the same setup for max wedge ports.

RB version is AR182A, low deck is AR300A. You have to include the A at the end or else you'll get the regular Indy style valley plate with the removable center section.

I don't have the new plates on my website yet but I have them in stock so Hughes and Mancini can order them. I'm just behind on my website maint. It is easier for me to invent new stuff than it is to update the website.

I may be reading or understanding things wrong here....

To my knowledge there is No valley plate that will fit a "standard" BB wedge head unless you custom fabricate one and weld it to the intake manifold shruggy

Yep, sure did and it don't look like a standard head to me. It's aftermarket aluminum.

When referring to a standard head I think 906, 915, 452, etc.....
Anything else I call it out by name.

I solved that problem by designing the batwings. They will seal an OEM head also although the job is easier on an aftermarket head.

Gotcha! thumbs That will certainly work!

I made plates for mine back in the day to cover up a machining error. They have worked out well.

To be fair, the batwings are only 0.032 thick so I don't know how long they would hold up on a stock head. The exhaust gas crossover gets really warm on those heads so I bet it would eat thru the aluminum eventually.

Not if there is no heat crossover in the intake manifold.

Itd be nice if someone besides fel pro made the factory style tins, and it actually fit. Victor, SP, its all Fel Pro in a different box. The fel pro has small ports and is baaically flat. I found an NOS Chrysler one a few months back and used it, it fit so much better than the fel pro. Cough Greg Cough...

I made some factory style tin gaskets but decided that a 3 piece setup with some RTV is easier to get aligned. The one piece part has to be stamped out on some dedicated tooling to get everything to line up properly.
