Some yokes slide right off and some need a puller. No need to reset preload on a 741, just torque the nut to spec.
If the yoke doesn't go back on easily, be careful to keep it centered to prevent damaging the seal lip.

When you get the yoke off and clean it all up, grease the splines and that yoke will slide on there slicker than a snot wad down a pig's lip.
