My understanding is that the two bolts retaining the trunk catch are to be painted but the catch is natural. Was there a lengthy thread on this years ago? I can't find it.

I can't remember why the bolts are painted and the catch is not.
Anyone with survivor pics showing this?

The bracket on the trunk lid should be body color. The latch itself should not be.
