Anyone know what the BOM number should be for 1967 B-Body. Also for the RO/WO cars with Dana.
TIA

Thanks,
For the info. I could not find that on the lists on-line.
Since the RO cars had 4.88 gear I imagine they took the 3.54 rears and swapped gears at the assembly line?

For whatever reason the 66/67 BOMs are never on people's charts. My understanding is all the 66/67 Dana 60 rears had either 3.54 or 4.10 gearing. I have no idea what the WO/RO cars received or how. Sorry.

The code on the fender tag of a RO/WO calls for a special order axle. I don't think they swapped them 3.54's it would be a waste of time. I think they just built them for the car with the 4.88 truck gear set in a car housing. Just like the rest of the car, it was built to spec, not a converted production car.

A unique differential is needed. Had to have the centering buttons inside for car axles, but be able to use on 4.88 gears, a carrier for the 3.54 gears would not work. This differential needed to be assembled ahead of time. This could be done with a truck sure grip differential housing with passenger internals.

Only problem with this idea is there a 1967 4.88 B-body Dana on any BOM list?

Would be nice to check a known original 4 speed RO/WO Dane rear and get the numbers.

yes, all the Super Stock 1967 R0/W0 & 1968 B0/L0 rear axle DANAs would've been specifically built for those cars

there were NO street car 4.10 DANAs until the 1969 model year

ALL 1966 - 1967 - 1968 street car b-body DANAs were 3.54:1

Well looks like I will taking a look at one of the original 4 spd RO23 cars the guy I bought mine from still has. Have to see what BOM number is on the housing, if any.

I do have one '67 Dana 60 that i "MIGHT" part with. It is BOM 602829 2
with date stamped of 12 1 6 A1 and 12 2 6 B.

It has 3.54 powerlock and the housing was stripped and painted black .

I noticed that the 68 Charger R/T cars with auto trans used 3.23 gears, while the ones with manual trans used 3.54 gears.

Would either of those be a Dana rear end?
I just noticed there was a lot of talk here about 3.54 gears.

Is it correct the RO/WO cars all got 4:88 gears from the factory? This would be a different carrier than the 3:54, making it a very unique Dana?
